At the heart of TechSpark Academy is a team of dedicated education and tech enthusiasts sharing the same priority – creating a fun and rewarding experience for all. Coupling an array of skills and years of experience, the team is able to ensure that any amount of time spent with TechSpark Academy is enriching, both educationally and socially.
MARTA GEHRING
An innovation-marketing consultant, Medtech expert and instructor at InnoSuisse, the Swiss Government’s innovation promotion agency, Marta has been working on TSA’s development since its creation in August 2015.
KATE MCKEE
Mathematician & former financier, Kate facilitated TSA expansion in the Swiss-German region and has been running the operations since 2017. She championed the “digital discovery workshops” concept to give students a flavor of what coding is all about.
TED BALDWIN

Ted studied Life Sciences at EPFL and spent 3 years at McKinsey & Co. in Geneva and Boston. He then completed an MBA at INSEAD in Singapore, and is now CEO of a young Medtech start-up in Paris.
Jose Alemany
Jose is TechSpark Academy’s trusted Head of Web Architecture since 2015. He comes with web design, data analysis & copywriting experience and is the brains behind our innovative Online Lesson Scheduling infrastructure. He oversees our web presence and analytics as well as supporting us with SEO and ad strategy. He’s also an independent data analyst consultant.

Supporting the core team is a group of expert advisors that have demonstrated exceptional knowledge and passion for education. They make sure course content is appropriate and up-to-date and help recruit the best instructors, tutors and mentors from the world’s leading universities.
SIMON ARCHAMBEAU
Simon has a BSc Mechanical Engineering from EPFL and is currently working on his MSc in the Management of Technology and Entrepreneur- ship. He has been a consultant with 180 Degrees Consulting, the world’s largest university-based consultancy, and with the EPFL’s «Consulting Society ». Simon is also event organizer at START Lausanne and a team Leader at GCC Bridge
MARTA BALODE
Coming from a background in neuroscience, Marta is fascinated by how the brain processes visual information on a cortical level and how our understanding of these principles could be used to enhance intelligent systems. Marta has been a loyal instructor & content developer for TechSpark since 2019, she is also actively supporting instructor recruitment and development.
KIRTAN PADH
Having obtained his BSc degree in Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Kirtan earned his MSc in Computer Science from EPFL with a specialization in data analytics. Kirtan comes with research and industry experience in machine learning, data science and finance, and is currently supporting us as a Project Manager for new venture business development.
CEDRIC MAIRE
Currently completing his MSc in Communication Systems at EPFL, Cedric has taught many courses in different locations and is one of our lead instructors for TSA’s after-school activities in Lausanne.
